Religious Sisters of Mercy

1965 Michigan Avenue

Alma, Michigan 48801

Dear Mother Mary Quentin:

I have spoken of the blessings of the Diocese of Saginaw. The presence of the Motherhouse of the Religious Sisters of Mercy is surely one of these blessings.

Through my visits with your sisters in Alma and in other locations, I have become familiar with many of the sisters. I am deeply grateful for the sisters who provide medical care through Alma's Sacred Heart Mercy Health Care Center, which serves the general community, while promoting Catholic ethical standards. I am deeply encouraged by the sisters in early formation, whose spontaneous love for religious life and for the Catholic Church, foretell renewal and evangelization.

I give you permission to place this letter on your religious institute's website and to use its contents to inform others of my strong endorsement of the Religious Sisters of Mercy of Alma.

Sincerely yours in Christ,

Most Reverend Robert J. Carlson

Bishop of Saginaw (Michigan)
